Denes de Holesh (1910-1983) was a truly international artist whose favorite subject were painting horses. His works were exhibited all over the world - Paris, Mexico City, Boston, Tokyo or Sydney, and everywhere the critics were as one in their praise. They likened his mastery of his subject to that of Picasso, Delacroix and Franc Marc.
"Although he painted countless horses, each canvas is a unique and individual study, capturing the personality of an animal of universal appeal, an heir to atradition as old as mankind." - A.Mackenzie |
